Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Tender strips of beef and crisp broccoli in a glossy garlic-ginger sauce sweetened without sugar. A 20-minute keto takeout swap that beats delivery.
Takeout flavor, keto-friendly sauce
The reason most beef and broccoli is off-limits on keto is the sauce, usually thick with sugar and cornstarch. Swap in a sugar-free sweetener and a touch of xanthan gum and you get the same glossy, savory-sweet glaze with a fraction of the carbs.
Stir-fry moves fast, so have everything prepped before the pan gets hot. Slicing the beef thin against the grain keeps it tender.
- Freeze the beef briefly for easy slicing
- Get the wok or skillet screaming hot
- Add the sauce last and toss quickly

Recipe FAQ
Do I need xanthan gum?
It is optional but helps the sauce cling to the beef and broccoli the way cornstarch would. Use just a small pinch and whisk it in well, as too much makes the sauce slimy.
What cut of beef works best?
Flank or skirt steak sliced thin against the grain is ideal. Sirloin also works. The key is thin slices and quick, high-heat cooking so the beef stays tender.
