Classic Deviled Eggs
Creamy, tangy deviled eggs with a smooth mayo-and-mustard filling and a dusting of paprika. A protein-packed keto snack or party appetizer ready in minutes.
The perfect portable protein
Deviled eggs are a keto snack that predates keto by a century, and they have never needed changing. Hard-boiled eggs, a rich filling of mayonnaise and mustard, and a sprinkle of paprika deliver protein and fat with almost no carbs.
They travel well, satisfy a craving for something creamy and savory, and take about fifteen minutes to assemble. Make a batch at the start of the week and snack from the fridge.
- Older eggs peel far more easily than fresh ones
- An ice bath stops the cooking and loosens the shells
- Pipe the filling for a party-ready finish

Recipe FAQ
How do I get eggs that peel cleanly?
Use eggs that are a week or more old, shock them in an ice bath right after cooking, and peel them under running water. The cold shock separates the membrane from the white.
How long do deviled eggs keep?
Store them covered in the fridge for up to two days. For make-ahead ease, keep the filling and whites separate and assemble shortly before serving.
